Remember, when configuring sync clients on your devices, you will need to enter an app password rather than your Falkenthal account password.
With a file sync client, files can be automatically synchronized between the Cloud server and your devices.
Go to the Nextcloud Desktop Download page, and download the macOS sync client.
Unless you’ve changed your browser’s settings, downloaded files will be sent to the ~/Downloads folder.
Launch the installer package…
…and click through the install, accepting all of the defaults.
In the Nextcloud Connection Wizard, click the Log in button.
Enter the Cloud server address: https://cloud.falkenthal.org/
.
A web browser will pop up, and you’ll be asked to log in to your Cloud server account, and grant access to the sync app.
Click Log in, and then Grant access.
Click the Connect button.
The desktop app will begin syncing files between the Cloud server and your local machine.
Looking in the local folder, you should see some files have already been copied from your Cloud server account
You can close the Nextcloud window. The file sync client will continue to run in the background, and can be accessed via its menubar icon:
Setting up calendar sync on macOS also synchronizes task lists with the “Reminders” app.
Go to the preferences panel of the Calendar app.
Select Accounts and click the + button at the lower left to add a new account.
Select Other CalDAV Account…
Set Account Type to Automatic, and enter the following information:

Click Sign In. The Calendar app will query the base URL from your email address for both CalDAV, and use whatever it finds.
Go to the preferences panel of the Contacts app.
Select Accounts and click the + button at the lower left to add a new account.
Select Other Contacts Account…
Set Account Type to Automatic, and enter the following information:

Click Sign In. The Contacts app will query the base URL from your email address for both CardDAV, and use whatever it finds.
